Trapped
Well haven't I been industrious lately! This latest upload to my gallery is different than anything I've ever tried before. Usually, I make it a point to modify my photographs as little as possible. My typical editing includes cropping, adjusting the Brightness/Contrast and sometimes fiddling with the Hue/Saturation levels. Oh, of course, I often add a border just for fun.
But this time, I added a picture to my picture. And a picture to the picture which is in my picture. And, actually, if you look really closely, there's a picture in the picture that's in the picture in my picture. How about that!
As for the rest, it's just -50 Saturation and a bit of fun fiddling with the "grain" filter.
The result is the emotive portrait that you see here. I actually really like how this turned out. It is sad, yet dimly colourful. The obvious point is to portray a negative, unpleasant emotion, and yet there is an undeniable radiance that, to me, conveys a sense of hope.
You can check out the full size image in my gallery, as usual. (Be sure to click on the image that appears to see the full 600x800 resolution version.)
I've put a particularly great amount of effort into this one, so I'd really appreciate your thoughts and comments. Thank you!

Wow. This is, by far, the most emotionally inspiring piece you've ever done. I was at once shocked and amazed by it. I think ... that you scare me. In a good way. :)
I think that you did a great job here. I believe that the lighting was perfect, and the conveyance of emotion is there. A beautiful model can take any emotion, convey it, and still look stunning. You've done that here, with class and sophistication. -Rob
