My Newest Crochet Project

It took me long enough!

I started this doiley about the same time I started the blue shawl, in January, while visiting the US. Size 8 thread, 1.5mm hook (which should usually be a 1mm hook, but for that I crochet far more tightly than could ever be necessary). Anyway, this project, through my own apparent inability to count, has caused me no end of difficulties. With all my undoing and redoing and undoing and redoing yet again, accented by some remarkably colourful language, I must have done enough crochet work for a second doiley of similar proportions. I guess it's all part of the learning process!

It never ceases to amaze me, really, what can be accomplished with a ball of string and a small metal hook.
