Funky Lace Head Kerchief Thing

Well, since I seem to be out of a doily phase for the moment, here is a headscarf I made by slightly modifying a pattern I found at this site. The pattern wasn't perfect, but it was easy enough to correct, keeping in mind that the scarf needs to be symmetrical. I also made a far more basic border than the one suggested by the original pattern. I had some difficulty with sizing, since it was pretty much left according to style preferences and head size, and, this being my first head kerchief project, I really didn't know what was best.

Anyway, I'm not sure if I like the outcome. I realise it's a bit strange, but the question is, "Is it eclectic strange, or what-the-heck-do-you-have-on-your-head strange?"
